As part of the professional competition among 3rd year students in the specialty “Orthopedic Dentistry” of the Medical Technical College – “The best dental technician – 2023”, a qualifying round for the international competition “Step Forward-2023” was held.
The competition was held in several stages:
1. Video business card;
2. Theoretical stage – testing;
3. Identification of practical skills of the contestants in the discipline: “Technique of manufacturing fixed prostheses”:
•modeling of the crown part of 21 teeth made of wax
•modeling of the crown part of the 26 tooth made of wax.
4. Identification of practical skills of the contestants in the discipline: “Technique of manufacturing removable prostheses”:
•placement of artificial teeth on the upper and lower jaw;
•final modeling of the wax construction of the prosthesis.
The honorary jury of the competition included:
1. Nagashybaev Nurislam Adilbekovich – representative of the company “Averon” in Kazakhstan;
2. Shimanov Zharasbek Kuanyshbaevich-dental technician of the highest category, director of the laboratory of IP “Shimanov;
3. Zhanseitov Almat Urazmukhamedovich – Director of the Sunkar Lab laboratory;
4. Zhusupova Kulpan Zhumageldievna – Deputy Director for educational work of the Medical and Technical College.
According to the results with the highest number of points, with the right to represent the college at the next stage “Step forward- 2023” – places were distributed as follows:
I place – Kabulbekov Bibosyn;
II place – Vardanyan Goar;
III place – Kozhagul Adilzhan.
